Programmable Logic Designer

Location: Gouda
Education level: HBO/WO
Contract time: Full-time

You have a real flair for programmable logic. You’re interested in electronics and embedded software, and you get excited about high-speed computing, parallel processing and elegant algorithms. You’re keen on pushing the boundaries of what is possible, in cooperation with like-minded colleagues. You’re fascinated by the interface between the digital and the physical world. Recognize yourself? Then we want to meet you. Come help us build real high-tech solutions.
Your job as a Programmable Logic Designer
At Technolution, programmable logic is a separate discipline beside software and electronics. We are the industry leader in this field in the Netherlands. We’re specialized in motion control, image processing, high-speed data and high-end security. As a Programmable Logic Designer, you’ll contribute proactively to maintaining and expanding our leadership role. You’ll be working in small teams with electronics and embedded software experts to create complex solutions for demanding clients. For instance, for high-speed processing of scanning data from a multibeam electron microscope. Or the controls of microscopic parts of a device that probes the quality of microprocessors using needles that are a few atoms wide.
In this job, you’ll be translating physics into logic. An interest in physics and mathematics is indispensable. You’ll be using software methods to build repeatable and reliable FPGA solutions. You’ll ultimately be responsible yourself for the building and testing of your modules and for demonstrating that they do what they are supposed to do. Your responsibilities will grow to match your experience. Technolution will give you all the space you need to become an expert in one of our technology domains and to further advance your knowledge.
Typical of you
You have:
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or are about to get one)
  • Experience in programmable logic / FPGA development
  • Experience with FPGA tooling is an advantage
  • Affinity with physics and mathematics
You have the knowledge and insight to work for an industry leader in the field of programmable logic, but you also know there’s always more to learn. You’re happy to share your knowledge, are willing to accept suggestions from others and keep an open eye on new developments.
You are:
  • Solution-oriented
  • Proactive and independent
  • Quality-conscious and precise
  • Eager to learn
As a Programmable Logic Designer at Technolution you’re at the start of your career.
