Technical Support Engineer

Location: Gouda
Education level: HBO
Contract time: Full-time

You love working with state-of-the-art technology. You get excited by high-grade electronics, especially if they’re combined with embedded software and programmable logic. You’re service-oriented and understand the challenges of second-line support and lifecycle management. Together with your colleagues in design and development, all people at the top of their game in their field, you make sure that our clients can use our products optimally for years.

Your job as Technical Support Engineer

As Technical Support Engineer, you play a central role in product support and lifecycle management at Technolution. You do this for approximately 25 advanced electronic products, in security, mobility, energy, high-tech and other sectors. To put it differently: you work with a wide range of technologies and very diverse clients. You offer second-line support for questions and issues that can’t be solved by first-line support. You do this is consultation with technical colleagues and suppliers. You have a firm grounding in technology; you understand complex electronics and are able to contribute to discussions on embedded software and programmable logic.

Our clients rely on a functional lifecycle of at least ten years for our products. You make sure that products and parts remain producible and/or replaceable throughout this period – a substantial challenge for lifecycle management (LCM). You do this by reading design documents, performing tests, monitoring the producibility or reproducibility of components and performing obsolescence scans on acquired parts. You keep in touch with clients, technical colleagues and external suppliers and always know what the current LCM status of our products is.
