Electronics and embedded systems have no secrets for you. You’re able to find the optimal design within the constraints of limited resources. You’re happy to share your knowledge and experience with others, like to take the initiative and always feel responsible for the quality of the end result. You’re comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment and are open to new ideas and approaches. Your ideal day involves working with talented colleagues to develop new high tech. Recognize yourself in this description? Then we’d like to meet you!

Your job as an Embedded System Engineer

As an Embedded System Engineer at Technolution, you work in a truly multidisciplinary environment. We use software, electronics and programmable logic to build advanced solutions for our clients. One project you might be working on is a sensor that registers current and voltage fluctuations on the supply cables of electric engines, so that it is possible to predict malfunctions and outages of these engines. Or you might be working with security experts to develop a secure certification system for monitoring and remote updating of industrial machines. In any case, at Technolution you can be sure that you are contributing to the development of innovative technology.

Your range of tasks is varied. You develop, build and test embedded modules, subsystems and complete systems. Initially under the supervision of experienced colleagues, but soon more independently. In doing so, of course you ensure that your designs operate within the limits set in the field of memory, bandwidth, energy consumption and heat generation. And you work together closely with your team members and colleagues in other disciplines. You communicate openly and clearly and make sure your documentation is transparent. You’re not afraid of taking the lead and are open to developing towards becoming a Lead Engineer.

Typically you

You have:

  • Completed a relevant HBO/WO (higher professional education/academic) degree
  • 4-5 years’ experience with embedded systems
  • Experience with C, Rust and Python
  • Leadership qualities

You have more than enough experience to work for a leading developer of embedded systems, but also know there’s always more to learn. You are open to suggestions from others and to new developments. You’re not afraid of taking the lead within your team of embedded engineers and share your knowledge and experience with them.

You are:

  • Solutions-oriented
  • Proactive and independent
  • Organized and meticulous
  • Quality-conscious

As an Embedded System Engineer at Technolution, you have many career options. Do you want to grow towards becoming a lead engineer or architect, or are you more interested in project management, or do you want to leave that choice until later? We’ll let you determine your own objective – we think all functions are equally valuable. When you’re ready, we will be there to help you.
