Researcher complex devices and electronics
Location: Gouda
Education level: Academic / WO
Contract time: Full-time
Salary: 4170 – 5950 EUR per month
Progress is what drives you. As a specialist in complex devices, electronics, and embedded software, you love to work with innovative technology. You’ve always been a researcher at heart and are always looking for original perspectives. At the same time, you’re a pragmatist. You have a strong network in your field and a good sense of what ideas are and aren’t applicable. Once your work is ready for our clients, you promote it enthusiastically in our organization, while already making plans for new projects. Are you the motivated Researcher that can give new impetus to our business at Technolution?
Your job as a Researcher in brief
- You turn new opportunities into proofs of concept and proposals that help advance our business.
- You initiate and run research projects with clear objectives, planning, and budget.
- You develop and test concepts for complex devices, electronics, and embedded software.
- You build a strong network (universities, RTOs, and clients) and create internal support.
- You seize opportunities for co-funding (NWO/EU) and know the right partners.
Your job as a Researcher
As a Researcher at Technolution, you’re one of our new technology pioneers. Your specialism is complex devices and electronics, but we are a truly multidisciplinary company. Together with your colleagues in the CTO Office, you flag interesting developments and look into them, in consultation with your internal and external expert networks. You’ll be doing some of your research independently, or with a small group of expert colleagues. But usually, it’s teamwork: with colleagues, but also with universities, research institutes, clients, and partners. You come up with hypotheses, carry out risk analyses, draft research plans, find the right people, and lead the research. And in all you do, applicability for our clients is a major priority.
Sharing the knowledge that you acquire is a crucial part of your job. During your research projects, you’ll regularly give presentations to your colleagues, for example during lunch time talks [BH1] or meetings of our internal knowledge guilds. Once a subject is ready for business, you start consulting guilds, product teams, and business developers to ensure that your new knowledge lands thoroughly in the organization. This will smoothen the path from idea to proof of concept to new business. In the meantime, time to start thinking about the next project!
This position requires a lot of initiative and independence. We expect you to launch, perform, and manage your own new research projects. At the same time, Technolution offers a warm and supportive environment with committed and motivated colleagues who are always ready to answer questions and offer help. And let’s conclude by saying that, when it comes to professional and personal growth and development, there is no better position than that of Researcher at Technolution.
