Your job as Network Support Engineer 

As a Network Support Engineer, you offer assistance and support for the high-grade security products of our sub-brand Technolution Prime. This includes both secondary support by phone and on-site client assistance. You install our line encryptors and data diodes and the accompanying software. You make sure these devices work without a glitch in the client’s network. In addition, you offer support in case of incidents, wherever and whenever these occur, and you make sure they are resolved as quickly as possible.

You need a sharp eye for detail to work with our high-grade High Assurance devices. Every installation is different. Technolution Prime devices operate alongside and in between existing network infrastructure, and this means the various elements have to be properly adjusted to each other. In addition, the environments you are working in always contain (sometimes extremely) sensitive information, such as government departments or army units. We therefore expect you to be flexible with regard to working hours: you can’t just leave a network with classified information unprotected because it’s time to go home.

At the start of this job, you’ll be trained to become an expert in the field of our security products. Once you have acquired the knowledge you need, you will be working with colleagues to train clients on how to use these products. You discuss recurring problems with developers and product managers to find structural solutions. You contribute actively to discussions on how to improve the integration of our products into various infrastructural environments. Typically you 

You have:

  • The ability to work and think at MBO+ (intermediate vocational education +) / HBO (higher professional education) level in the field of digital systems and telematics 
  • Thorough knowledge of network technology (OSI stack, protocols, topology and standard devices)
  • A good command of Dutch in speaking and writing 
  • Perseverance 

You are:

  • Analytical and solution-oriented 
  • Flexible and pragmatic 
  • A strong communicator 
  • In possession of a category B driving license 

Once you get stuck into a problem, you don’t let go until it’s solved. You ask colleagues for help whenever it is necessary and make sure the client can rely on our security products at all times. You’re eager to learn and like to contribute to the discussion on possible improvements and innovations for our products. 

As you will be working in environments that contain classified information, an AIVD/MIVD screening at VGB-B (category B declaration of no objection) level will be required for this position.
