The Flexcore platform was developed on the basis of commercially available hardware and is a further development of the Flexcore pilot project. Flexcore consists of hardware and software building blocks and preconfigured dashboards that are easy to deploy in different locations. Because of its horizontal architecture, Flexcore is an open platform that facilitates further development, and parts and interfaces can be easily expanded and/or replaced.
Freedom and flexibility
The Open Edge platform, the basis of Flexcore, can be used with many different sensors and actuators. This means the platform offers developers a lot of freedom and flexibility.
It has already been implemented to calculate and visualize Power Quality indicators and to visualize measurements on the basis of manual or automatic triggers.

Like apps on a smartphone, applications on Flexcore have access to various sensors and actuators. Sensor data can also be made available to developers of new applications and algorithms. Flexcore applications normally run locally in the station. This minimizes data bandwidth to the back office, safeguards autonomy and guarantees low-latency timing. And with regard to cybersecurity, Flexcore complies with the requirements of SL2 IEC 62443, the international security standard for operational technology.
